Truth be told...

I am a recovering perfectionist.  I used to be a women who thought I could do it all and rarely asked for help.  I have always been driven and felt like talking to others about my feelings or asking for help wasn’t necessary because I felt capable of doing everything on my own.

Thankfully with my desire for personal growth and becoming the healthiest version of me, I have learned my thinking was wrong and discovered how controlling I was being.  With a lot of hard work, I have grown and have developed the skills to understand my emotions, share my feelings and desires and I learned to ask for help and accept help when it is offered.

I have started sharing these skills with others to help others like me live a better life.

I have an amazing husband who respects me, puts me first and loves me unconditionally.  He and my parents have always been my biggest cheerleaders and they have encouraged me to be my best self and appreciated my gifts.

My husband has been my inspiration and my example of what a healthy relationship looks like.

Learning to communicate in a healthy way with my husband has been a daily work in progress.

Some days are great and easy and other days are challenging.

We both live by the motto of "we are good willed people with good intentions" and knowing that even if we upset each other, we don't do it intentionally or with a mean heart.

We are blessed to have 3 amazing kids together and becoming a mom motivated me to be healthier in all aspects of my life.  I want to be strong physically, emotionally and spiritually to enjoy a full life with my husband and kids.  I want to be the best example and role model for them I could be.

When my kids were very young I decided to truly give my life to Christ and to raise my kids as Christ followers.  Over the years, my relationship with God has grown which has increased my desire to serve others, opened and softened my heart and inspired my drive to help others learn to live a more peaceful and joyful life.

Growing in my relationship with myself has become so important and I have learned if I am not healthy for my self, I cant be healthy for anyone else in my life.

In my life I have been the counsel for friends and family who need advise about relationships, personal struggles and hard situations in life.  Many people struggle because they have a negative experience, self image, or think they don't deserve love or good things in life.

It breaks my heart how many men and women don’t realize they deserve love or even know what it is to truly be loved.  I wish I knew earlier that it is ok to be vulnerable and respectfully honest.

Our upbringing shapes so much in how we love and value ourselves and others and it impacts our  relationships as adults, our self talk, and how we treat others.

My goal is to spread love, encourage your relationship with yourself and help you live an amazing life!

My Health Coaching

Discover what you value in life instead of focusing on the idea of "I should..."

My coaching helps guide, mentor and empowers you and provides ongoing support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health & happiness.

Most approaches to healthy eating dwell on carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, I coach my clients to explore basic improvements and implement gradual changes during our work together. As these pieces accumulate, my clients find these changes collectively creating a much larger impact than they originally anticipated.

We work on what you want to improve within the circumstances of your unique situation.

My Approach

As a graduate from IIN, I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected.

Does stress at your job or in your relationship(s) cause you to overeat?

Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.

I work with my clients to get in touch with their body’s needs because I understand that life happens and your needs will change. I want to equip you with the self-awareness to make the best decisions for yourself in any given circumstance. I believe each person is fully capable of making well-informed decisions as their own expert, not the latest magazine article or fad diet book.

Let’s define what you value most from your well-being. We’ll use these visions to motivate specific goals that bring you closer to where you want to be. As your coach, I will not dictate a diet for you, but together we will explore why some foods make you feel better than others and how to strategically use that feedback. Together we’ll co-create your health goals within reasonable time frames and actionable objectives so you know exactly what you’re working toward.

Here are some concepts that we will explore during our work together:

Integrative Nutrition Plate†

The Integrative Nutrition Plate emphasizes the importance of local and organic produce, whole grains, high-quality proteins, plant-based fats, and water. It shows you how a plate should appear at mealtime and emphasizes the importance of proportions and portion size. To complete the picture, the plate is surrounded with lifestyle factors that create optimal health: relationship, career, physical activity and spirituality. I’ll introduce you to some of the healthiest foods on the planet and teach you how to find what’s healthiest for your unique body!

Primary Food†

It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It’s not just the food we eat that affects our health, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity, and a spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. When these primary foods are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. I will support you in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life.

Bio-IINdividuality*

The concept of Bio-IINndividuality is the idea that each of us has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background.

Crowding Out††

Many nutrition experts give their clients a list of foods to avoid and foods to eat, which explains why so many people are turned off by nutrition. My approach is different – by eating and drinking foods that are good for you, you will naturally have less room and desire for unhealthy foods. Simply put, you will crowd out the unhealthy food in your diet. This takes a little practice to make happen, but I will support you along the way.

Deconstructing Cravings††

Cravings play a critical role in understanding what your body needs and shouldn’t be ignored. When you learn how to deconstruct your cravings and understand what they’re really telling you, you will be able to reclaim a sense of balance and harmony.

Truly, it doesn’t matter where you started in this life, it's about enjoying the journey complete with the ups and downs you will inevitably face.

You have the power to change your course.  Today.

Life is not a dress rehearsal.  You have one shot to live your dream life.  What are you waiting for?

Let your life story be your motivation for a better life, not your excuse.

Lots of endless love,

Kim DeLamere
